Vacancy – Supported Lodgings Worker

Open Homes Nottingham is a Christian charity that has run Nottingham Nightstop since 2006 – a project providing emergency accommodation for homeless 16-25 year olds in the homes of volunteer host families.

Having successfully piloted our new Supported Lodgings project last year, where young people can move on from Nottingham Nightstop to stay for a few months in the home of a host family, we are now looking to recruit a Supported Lodgings Worker to develop the scheme.

Working alongside the current Nightstop team to cover referrals, the successful candidate will also focus on the young people on Supported Lodgings placement and their hosts, ensuring they are claiming appropriate benefits and accessing other support services, as well as getting alongside them to look for work or education and to find long-term accommodation to move on to.

The post is a half-time post (17.5 hours per week), working primarily over the five weekday mornings.  The worker will need to have access to their own car and have the flexibility to be able to work occasional evenings and afternoons to provide support visits to hosts and young people.

Salary is £9,446 per annum.

If interested, please contact megan.towers@openhomes.org.uk to ask questions and/or to begin an application.  You can also call on 0333 3232 265 or email info@nottinghamnightstop.org to request an application pack.  Please note that the application deadline has now been extended to  Monday, 6th May 2019.  Interviews will take place on Friday, 10th May 2019.
